Second-generation Haval H9 pre-sale starts

Customers who placed a pre-order with a 2,000 yuan deposit (281 USD) can enjoy a 15,000 yuan (2,100 USD) discount towards the purchase price. Existing Haval H9 customers also receive a 20,000 yuan (2,800 USD) replacement subsidy.

Khodrocar - On August 25, Great Wall Motor’s second-generation Haval H9 SUV officially started pre-sale, available in three trims with a price range of 205,900 – 235,900 yuan (28,900 – 33,100 USD):

Tanjing Edition: 205,900 yuan (28,900 USD)
Tajing Edition: 221,900 yuan (31,100 USD)
Jijing Edition: 235,900 yuan (33,100 USD)

The second-generation Haval H9 is positioned as a hard-core off-road medium-to-large SUV. A version that replaces the external spare tire with an external storage box is also available. The length, width, and height of the external spare tire version are 5070/1976/1930 mm, and the wheelbase is 2850 mm; while the external storage box version measures 4950 (5000)/1960 (1976)/1930 mm, with the same wheelbase.

Its maximum ground clearance is 224 mm, maximum wading depth is 800 mm, approach angle is 31°, and departure angle is 25°.

For the exterior, the second-generation Haval H9’s appearance was redesigned, adopting the popular square shape for off-road vehicles.

Its square front face with round headlights gives a retro vibe, coupled with vertically-arranged round taillights, a side-opening tailgate, an external spare tire, roof racks, traditional door handles, and a panoramic sunroof.

The second-generation Haval H9 offers two powertrain options: a 2.0T gasoline engine mated to an 8AT and a 2.4T diesel engine mated to a 9AT. The gasoline engine has a maximum power of 165 kW (221 hp) and a peak torque of 384 Nm while the diesel engine outputs 137 kW (184 hp) and 480 Nm. The Torque-On-Demand intelligent four-wheel drive system is also standard across the entire series.

Additionally, seven driving modes are supported, including standard, sports, economy, 4L, sand, mud, and snow; along with functions such as tank turn and low-speed off-road cruising.

The official towing capacity is 2.5 tons or 2,268 kg.

Both five-seater and seven-seater layouts are offered, with 45 storage areas throughout the vehicle.

Second-generation Haval H9 pre-sale starts

The standard trunk volume of the five-seater version is 791 L, which can hold one 28-inch suitcase, two 24-inch suitcases, and two 20-inch suitcases. The volume can be expanded to 1814 L when the second row is folded down. Furthermore, the front windshield and front door use double-layer laminated soundproof glass, and the body is designed with 34 laminated panels for noise cancellation, according to the carmaker.

Inside, the cockpit features a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, air-conditioning outlets below the central control screen, a rectangular instrument panel, a bulky gear lever, and numerous physical buttons on the center console. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip is also not absent. Other configurations include one-button remote start, smartphone remote monitoring, and FOTA updates.

The second-generation Haval H9 also offers 13 level 2 advanced driving assistance capabilities.
