Exeed Exlantix ES to get electric wagon version

According to speculation, the wagon version of the ES may come also as an extended-range EV as well as an all-electric car. It rides on the E0X high-end electric platform which is also shared with the ET SUV. Since its launch in May, the ET has come not only in all-electric form but also as an EREV.

Khodrocar - Currently, the 2025 version of the Exeed Exlantix ES is on pre-sales with the all-electric sedan due to launch on August 21. The ES was the first car in the Exlantix range from Exeed with deliveries beginning in December 2023. Since then, the range has been bolstered with the addition of the Exeed Exlantix ET SUV. However, it looks as if there may soon be a wagon version of the ES joining the range. In a tweet on social media Huang Zhaogen, GM of Exeed, showed a video featuring a wagon version of the Exeed Exlantix ES.

The overall style of the wagon version of the Exeed Exlantix ES is quite similar to the Nio ET5T. Up to the B-pillar, the wagon version of the ES seems largely identical to the sedan. At the front, there is an enclosed face with an air vent at the bottom of the fender. Through-type LED running lights wrap their way around the front of the car, and there are small slits for the main headlight clusters, below which are interactive display units composed of 740 LEDs. Although there is still some downward motion in the roof line, it no longer slopes anywhere near as quickly as with the sedan and ends some way off the furthest point of the rear. The sedan has a relatively slippery drag coefficient of 0.205Cd, but how the changes to the looks of the wagon will affect this is currently unknown.

Dimensions for the wagon version should be broadly in line with those of the sedan (see specs) which measures 4945, 1978, and 1467 mm and has a wheelbase of 3000 mm. Powertrain specifications are also likely to be very similar. Rear wheel drive versions of the 2025 model year use a 230 kW electric motor which can deliver 425 Nm of torque. Dual motor versions add a 123 kW electric motor to the front axle, which can deliver another 238 Nm of torque. The car comes with a choice of 77 or 100 kWh battery packs, both sourced from CATL. In the case of the 77 kWh battery pack it uses the Shenxing lithium iron phosphate battery, whereas the 100 kWh battery pack uses a ternary lithium battery.

Exeed is a high-end brand from Chery that sells both in China and overseas. Exlantix is a range of EVs and extended-range EVs, and it is known in China as Sterra. An export version of the Exeed Exlantix ES sedan was displayed earlier this year and the wagon would likely be a popular export.
