Why 10 Thousand Cars Are Stocked At Customs?

Khodrocar – when a car has the permission to cross the borders, then it should have the permission to pass the custom’s gates but stocked cars are the opposite example. Also, trade promotion organization saying that these cars are imported illegally, but how a product like a car can cross the borders illegally?

The procedure of ordering cars is saying that the representatives have to order their annual needs and the main company can supply cars and spare parts according to that ordering. This procedure is important because cars can’t be made over one night and main company has to make a plan for supplying spare parts.

For about 10 years, this procedure is okay in Iran and representatives are ordering their annual needs every year, then they will announce it to the TPO.

Producing cars in Iran has the different condition from foreign companies. In Iran, companies are making cars then they will find customers and that is why sometimes we see more than 100 thousand of car are stocked in producers parkings. Now, unlike the article 22 of the law, TPO is shutting down the registration web site and according to that more than 10 thousand cars are not allowed to leave the customs.

Another point is, for each imported car, thousands dollars are exiting the country and it is a big lose for the country and the importers.

As it seems, the procedure of importing cars has not changed and importers didn’t do anything wrong and the TPO had wrong decision. It means that stocked cars in customs are not illegal.
