2018 Lamborghini Urus in numbers

A super-SUV like no other.
Khodrocar - The 2018 Lamborghini Urus is a monumental super-SUV, certainly in terms of engine capability. The Italian supercar manufacturer promised it would build the world’s fastest petrol-powered SUV, and it has. Let’s take a glance then, at some of the numbers.

The 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine pumps out 478kW and 850Nm, staggering numbers for something other than a high-performance sports car.

That V8 is mated to a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission. The power alone is only part of the story though, with the sprint to 100km/h taking only 3.6 seconds and 0-200km/h taking just 12.2 seconds.

Top speed is an autobahn-thumping 305km/h and the fuel claim is 12.3L/100km.

The sloping roof line doesn’t eat into cabin space either, with room for passengers as tall as 6ft 7 up front and 6ft 3 in the second row. Urus is available in four, or five-seat configuration.

Lamborghini is adamant the Urus should be useful as an SUV and as such, there’s 616 litres of luggage capacity with the second row in use and no less than 1596 litres with the seats folded down. According to Lamborghini, that is enough room for up to eight cabin trolley bags or two full-size golf bags.

Via the familiar ‘Tamburo’ drive mode selector, there are up to six modes available: road, sport, track, sand, gravel and snow. 21-inch rims are standard with optional 22 and 23-inch wheels also available.

The last number that perhaps means the most to Lamborghini relates to sales figures. 2017 was up ten percent overall for the brand, with global sales of 3815 cars.

The release of the $390,000 Urus will almost double that number just with the addition of one vehicle alone, with Lamborghini predicting total global sales of 7000 units.
