KTL has long been known as an importer of Hyundai products in Iran. In the latest round of vehicle imports, the company once again focused on the Korean brand, bringing models such as the Kona, Creta, Accent, Tucson, and Elantra to the market.
Now, according to information obtained by Charkhan News, KTL is preparing to introduce Hyundai’s largest SUV, the Palisade, to Iran. This move follows the lifting of restrictions related to engine displacement and foreign currency budget. In other words, instead of following the path of some importers that have focused on models like the Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol, or Lexus LX600, KTL and a few other companies are choosing a different strategy by offering the Korean brand’s flagship SUV to Iranian customers.
Based on official data, KTL has successfully received the type approval certification for the Hyundai Palisade, confirming that the vehicle meets the regulatory standards required for import and sale in Iran.

The Hyundai Palisade is set to be imported in a hybrid configuration. This powertrain combines electric motors with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder T-GDI petrol engine. In total, the system produces 329 horsepower and 460 newton-metres of torque.
In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Palisade measures 5.06 metres in length, 1.98 metres in width, and 1.805 metres in height, with a wheelbase of 2.97 metres.
The Hyundai Palisade also comes equipped with a wide range of comfort and safety features. These include lane change collision avoidance assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic collision alert, blind-spot detection, lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive smart cruise control, intelligent cruise assist, automatic high-beam control, a pre-collision safety system with automatic emergency braking, electronic stability and traction control, hill descent control, a 540-degree camera system, tyre pressure monitoring, driver attention warning, traffic sign recognition, ABS and BAS braking assistance, keyless entry with push-button start, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and front and rear parking sensors.
With its hybrid powertrain, large dimensions, and extensive list of features, the Hyundai Palisade is expected to become one of the most prominent imported SUVs to enter the Iranian market in the new phase of vehicle imports.
