Second Handed Luxury Vehicles Awaiting for Price Increment
After 6 months, the vehicle order registration website is open now, but according to new conditions, vehicles with over 40 thousand dollar price and vehicles with over 2500 cc displacement are banned. Now, do the new conditions affect the market of second handed luxury cars which banned?
KhodroCar – finally, vehicle order registration website opened with new conditions after six months on 31 December 2017. Importing vehicles over 40 thousand dollars and vehicle with over 2500 cc displacement are banned. Also, it was announced that 2016 models could be ordered for one day and they are not reachable on 1 January 2018.
While 18 official representatives are ordering 83 models now, activists are concerned about the future of the imported vehicle market. They believe that banning the importation of some vehicles would have negative effects on the market, so price fluctuations is predictable.
"Prices would increase due to the importing limits, but after a while they will gradually be decreased.” Said Saeed Motameni, chairman of car dealers and auto show owners' union to KhodroCar reporter.
"On time imported vehicle order registration and delivering the product on schedule will prevent the price fluctuations otherwise cars will lose their value and market would face some problems.” He added. "The peak of imported vehicles’ price increment would be for the next 15 or 20 days, then prices will decrease and the price bubble disappears.”
"Price of 2016 vehicles won’t have fluctuated because the variety of the 2017 and 2018 vehicles is high.” Said Motameni. " Right now, the imported vehicle market is facing a bubble, but it would be disappearing by the end of the year if the order registration continues.”
Previously, Motameni said that opening the SABTARESH website would cause a price bubble in the imported vehicle market, but it will gradually disappear after some days.
