Every week we pick out a few numbers that are so significant we have to give them a second look. Today we’re looking at key figures from Porsche, Peugeot, and Ford.

OK, so it’s "just” a virtual video-game car, but its specifications are impressive: 580 horsepower from a gas engine that spins to 10,000 rpm, another 170 hp from an electric motor, and just 1,818 pounds of mass make for a 2.4-second sprint to 62 miles per hour.

By how much, in percent, the fuel economy of the 2018 Ford Mustang increases over last year’s car. A new automatic transmission, engine tweaks, and improved aerodynamics all play a role in boosting the Mustang’s EPA ratings to as much as 32 miles per gallon highway.
