Kerman Motor Unveils KMC SR6: A New Luxury Crossover for the Iranian Market

Khodrocar - Kerman Motor has officially released the catalog of its latest product, the KMC SR6, marking the introduction of a new luxury crossover into its lineup. According to Akharin Khodro, the KMC SR6 is positioned as a premium crossover SUV that Kerman Motor plans to offer in the higher-end segment of the Iranian market.

The KMC SR6 is known globally as the Sehol QX. The vehicle was designed at JAC Motors’ design center in Turin, Italy, and was first unveiled to global markets in 2021, where it was offered in both gasoline and hybrid powertrain variants.

At the heart of the KMC SR6 lies a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine equipped with direct fuel injection (GDI). This powertrain delivers 184 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, with power transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The setup promises a balance of strong performance and efficiency, in line with expectations for a modern luxury crossover.

In terms of safety and driver assistance, the KMC SR6 comes well equipped. Key features include six airbags (10-point system), electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Additional technologies such as an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 360-degree surround-view camera, and cruise control further enhance driving confidence.

The vehicle also offers an extensive list of comfort and convenience features. Highlights include wireless phone charging, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, daytime running lights, an electrochromic rearview mirror, a fully digital instrument cluster, D-cut steering wheel with paddle shifters, heated front seats with electric adjustment and memory function, and automatic climate control equipped with an in-cabin air purification filter. The infotainment system features a touchscreen display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, underscoring the SR6’s modern, tech-focused character.

With its Italian-influenced design, turbocharged powertrain, and comprehensive safety and comfort equipment, the KMC SR6 stands out as one of Kerman Motor’s most important new offerings. The model is expected to play a key role in strengthening the company’s presence in the luxury crossover segment of Iran’s automotive market.
