Khodrocar - Kerman Motor officially unveiled its first national hybrid sedan, KMC Eagle Hybrid, in Azar 1404 (December 2025). The project was first announced by the company’s CEO in Dey 1403 (January 2025) and, in less than a year, successfully entered the testing and standard evaluation phase.
Kerman Motor CEO Visits the National Eagle Hybrid Sedan
During the visit, Firoozi expressed appreciation for the efforts of Kerman Motor’s R&D teams in developing modern, domestically engineered products. He stated that the Eagle Hybrid and Electric models will form part of Kerman Motor’s clean-vehicle portfolio under its long-term roadmap known as “Ahd 1407”.

Based on the latest information, KMC Eagle HEV will move into mass production and market launch after obtaining the required regulatory and technical certifications. The hybrid sedan has been developed on Kerman Motor’s proprietary PS1 platform, a platform whose gasoline version has already been successfully launched, giving the company full technical mastery and a significant competitive advantage.
Long-Term Investment and Emission Reduction Goals
Kerman Motor’s long-term strategy under the Ahd 1407 program was first presented during the company’s supply chain and parts manufacturers conference in Dey 1403. At the event, Firoozi announced plans to invest $300 million in research and development over a four-year period.
Emphasizing environmental responsibility, the CEO stated: “Our goal is to reduce carbon emissions across our product portfolio from 170 grams per kilometer to 105 grams per kilometer by 1407.”
Capabilities in Clean Vehicle Development
In Autumn 1404, the final version of the fully electric Eagle sedan was showcased at Sharif University of Technology, highlighting Kerman Motor’s scientific and engineering capabilities in developing advanced, market-oriented, and environmentally friendly technologies.
With continued progress in domestic R&D for clean vehicles, Kerman Motor is expected to introduce all three versions of the national KMC Eagle sedan—gasoline, hybrid, and fully electric—to the market in the near future.
Technical Specifications of the Eagle Hybrid
The Eagle Hybrid is powered by a newly developed 1.5-liter naturally aspirated (DHE) gasoline engine, paired with a 1.8 kWh battery, a DHT hybrid transmission, and a 45-liter fuel tank. This setup enables a driving range of close to 1,000 kilometers. The vehicle delivers a maximum torque output of 280 Nm.
Thanks to battery charging via the gasoline engine, low fuel consumption, and no reliance on extensive charging infrastructure, the KMC Eagle HEV is positioned as an ideal option for urban and family use.
