Khodrocar - Kerman Motor has officially revealed the technical specifications of its first national hybrid sedan, the KMC Eagle Hybrid, following the release of its official product catalog. This confirms that the hybrid version of the Eagle will soon enter the Iranian market. Earlier reports had suggested the arrival of an Eagle variant with an interior similar to the KMC Shadow — a detail now verified with the debut of the Eagle Hybrid.

Powertrain and Performance

According to the catalog, the Eagle Hybrid features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor, forming a dual-power hybrid setup:

Petrol engine power: 88 hp

Petrol engine torque: 125 Nm

Electric motor power: 215 hp

Electric motor torque: 280 Nm

This combination results in impressive efficiency, with combined fuel consumption rated at under 5 liters per 100 km, while the 0–100 km/h acceleration time is under 9 seconds.

The hybrid system uses an NMC battery, offering a 1.8 kWh capacity with an air-cooled design. Suspension consists of MacPherson struts at the front and a semi-independent rear setup, meaning the overall ride experience remains similar to the standard petrol Eagle.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Eagle Hybrid carries over the modern cabin design previously seen in the KMC Shadow, now enhanced with higher-quality materials and a more generous equipment list. Key features include:

Digital instrument cluster

Central touchscreen infotainment display

LED headlamps

Multiple driving modes

Rear parking sensors and camera

Keyless entry & push-button start

Wireless charger

Automatic headlight sensor

Electric climate control

Start-stop system

Electronic gear selector

Energy regeneration system

Traction and stability control

Electronic parking brake

Dual front airbags

A Growing Hybrid Market

The introduction of the Eagle Hybrid marks Kerman Motor’s entry into the rapidly expanding domestic hybrid segment. Both Bahman Motor and Iran Khodro recently unveiled their own national hybrid sedan, the Inovi, which offers stronger performance and more advanced features compared to the Eagle Hybrid and is expected to be positioned at a higher price point.
