The newest member of Kerman Motor SUVs

Khodrocar - At the Shanghai Auto Show, JAC officially unveiled the plug-in hybrid version of the JAC QX, also known as the KMC SR6. Now, at the 2024 Kerman Auto Show, we are witnessing the unveiling of its fully gasoline-powered version. This vehicle is essentially the all-new generation of the JAC S5 and features JAC’s latest design language at both the front and rear. This design approach is also evident in the JAC X8 and KMC J7.

At the front, the car adopts a split-headlight setup, with the daytime running lights (DRLs) integrated into the edge of the hood, connected by an LED strip similar to the J7. A large grille with chrome accents is another prominent element in the vehicle’s front-end design. At the rear, the taillights are seamlessly connected, and the bumper is designed in harmony with the front bumper and other components.

The KMC SR6 measures 4,605 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,700 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

Upon entering the cabin of this crossover, one is immediately reminded of the KMC X5, as the center console, door panels, air vents, and other interior elements are identical to those in the X5. The only notable difference between these two Kerman Motor crossovers lies in the instrument cluster and multimedia system—while these were separate in the X5, the SR6 features an integrated digital cluster and multimedia display.

The gasoline-powered KMC SR6 is equipped with the same 1.5-liter turbocharged GDi engine as the X5. This engine produces 172 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, sending power to the front wheels via a 6-speed dry dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
