Khodrocar - Unveiled back in early May, the new Exclusive Edition tailored to the Mercedes-AMG G63 and G65 is making headlines once again as new images and details have been released prior to a public showing in Frankfurt later this month. With an exorbitant price tag of €287,658 in Germany or almost €12,000 more than the regular version, the V12-powered model certainly lives up to the "exclusive” part of its name. In fact, it’s the company’s most expensive model you can buy today considering the G650 Landaulet and the Project One hypercar have both been sold out for quite some time.
At €163,125, the V8 model isn’t exactly cheap, either. It costs an extra €17,767 over the standard G63.
Both ride on a set of shiny new 21-inch alloy wheels featuring a five-twin-spoke matte black design with a high-sheen finish in the case of the G63 and a ceramically polished look for the top dog G65. Mercedes will also give buyers the opportunity to opt for a different set of wheels of the same size also with a five-twin-spoke appearance, but with high-sheen rim flanges and side rub strips with inserts featuring faux carbon fiber.
What truly sets the two Gs apart from the others is the AMG monza grey magno matt paint reserved for the Exclusive Edition.
More changes have occurred inside the cabin where the reputable off roader has a fancy instrument panel covered in two-tone leather and comes fitted as standard with sporty AMG seats, also bathed in two-tone leather. Mercedes has six hues to offer for the upholstery, together with carbon fiber or piano lacquer trims, and multicontour seats. Rounding off the tweaks are the AMG steering wheel, red seatbelts, and leather even on the grab handles.
Both G63 and G65 Exclusive Edition will make an appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in less than two weeks. As for the next-generation G-Class, you will have to wait until next year.
