2019 Audi A7 Is Cheaper Than Outgoing Model, Starts At $68,000

The entry-level A7 Premium is $1,700 cheaper than last year’s model.
Khodrocar - The Audi A7 is all new for 2019. The ground-up redesign adds tons of new tech and sharp styling in line with the rest of the range, as well as a few cues carried over from siblings like the A8. Now it has a price; the new A7 will start at $68,000 when it goes on sale in a few months.

That $68,000 asking price will get you the entry-level Premium trim (not including $995 for destination). That trim level is new for 2019 and offers a cheaper alternative to the outgoing model by a whole $1,700. Next up is the A7 Premium Plus, which costs $72,400. At the top of the range (for now), the A7 Prestige starts at $76,300.

Audi doesn't have a breakdown on what features will be available on each trim level, but things like the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster and 10.1-inch touchscreen – called MMI Touch Response – will come standard. As will the 3.0-liter turbocharged mild-hybrid V6 borrowed from the larger A8, which is rated at 340 horsepower (250 kilowatts) and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton-meters) of torque.

Options will range from HD Matrix LED headlights with laser high beams, to massaging front seats, an air-perfuming system, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a large panoramic sunroof. Audi's active safety equipment will also be available for an extra cost, as will the S-Line trim, which adds visual cues like a lower ride height (by 20 millimeters) and larger wheels.

The new Audi A7 is currently available in markets outside of the U.S., but won't be available for sale Stateside until late in 2018 or early 2019. The A7 will eventually be joined by hot S and RS models; both vehicles were pictured on the 'Ring testing out their more-powerful engines. The S7 could get as much as 460 hp (343 kW), while the range-topping RS7 could come loaded with up to 700 hp (521 kW).
