Strategic Industries in Danger; Does Government Care about Auto Part Manufacturers?

Khodrocar – Without any doubt, auto part manufacturing is one of the productive, beneficial and strategic industries in Iran, and it is mostly depended on automotive industry. That means if it fails, the whole automotive and related industries like auto forging, glass and mirror manufacturing and related industries will face huge problems. All of them are important factors for economic growth.

During recent months, since the three-fold growth of the exchange rate, Not only has the purchasing power of raw materials reduced for part manufacturers, but also some of the factories and manufacturers are on the way to bankruptcy. On the other hand, with USA exit from Iran’s nuclear deal and comeback of sanctions, we will see the ban of disrupted auto parts that will make the manufacturers face a great financial loss.

The question is whether any ministry or organization care about this terrible situation of related industries or not?

Sadegh Najafi, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade tells Khodrocar regarding the issue: "Definitely, one of the most vulnerable industries after the beginning of sanctions is part manufacturers. Due to the importance of the economic and industrial activities of them, meetings have been held on analyzing their poblems.”

Najafi continues: "On the other hand, there were talks about the debts and demands of the part manufacturers with the directors of the Iran Khodro Corp. and Saipa automotive group. These meeting have been held in order to allocate governmental facilitations to part makers.”

He mentions the sanctions and the losses incurred in the manufacturing industry and says: "I have had few meetings with CEOs of Iran Khodro Corp. and Saipa Group about sanctions and their effects on automotive and part manufacturing industry. Auto parts need more support.

Khodrocar – According to what United States said before, sanctions has begun and their priority is Iran’s automotive industry. There are many concerns about automotive and part manufacturing industries and it government and statesmen job to save them with right policies and reduce the concerns.
