Khodrocar - Honda has revealed a new Jazz +Sport, carrying a handful of extra features and a $24,116 drive-away price.
Based on the mid-range Jazz VTi-S, the new limited-run +Sport carries a claimed $1600 of extra standard equipment.
There's a +Sport badge on the boot, for one, along with gloss black highlights on the licence plate surrounds and 16-inch alloy wheels. You also get rear parking sensors, supporting the standard-fit reversing camera. Factory satellite navigation is included on the 7.0-inch touchscreen, too.
Because it's not based on the range-topping VTi-L, buyers still miss out on niceties like leather seats, a leather gear knob and keyless entry. You also get old-fashioned manual air conditioning, and the seats aren't heated. Small things, designed to ensure the VTi-L is still the daddy.
Power still comes from a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 88kW and 145Nm. It's hooked up to a CVT as standard, and returns a claimed 5.9L/100km on the combined cycle.
Honda is planning to build a small number (around 240) of the +Sport, but if the car is well received more sporty special editions are likely in future.
