DS X E-Tense concept teased
DS Automobiles has teased its X E-Tense Concept, a look at what happens when the French brand’s design team starts dreaming of 2035.
Khodrocar - Based on the 35-second teaser clip posted to YouTube, the concept will be motorsport-focused. Along with some suitably futuristic shots of the car running through a neon cityscape, there’s a brief flash of a helmet-wearing driver.
The PSA Group, parent to Peugeot and Citroen, has used the DS brand as its luxury and electric flagship offering in recent years, running a DS team in the ever-growing Formula E series.
We’ve also seen some particularly eye-catching electric concepts from DS, most notable of which is the E-Tense unveiled in 2016. There’s been talk about a leap to production, but at this point there’s still no word on whether we can expect to see the all-electric performance car on public roads.
In profile, the X E-Tense looks like a slinky coupe, with jewel-like light detailing at both ends. It also appears to have a single-seat cockpit.
At this point, DS hasn’t laid out an official release date. Given the timing of the teaser, we’d bank on a Beijing motor show reveal.
