The Week's Most Important Car Numbers

KhodroCar - Numbers are all around us – whether we're breaking down the performance of a Ferrari 488, or comparing the price of a Model S to a Mercedes. Every week we pick out a few numbers that are so significant we have to give them a second look. Today we’re looking at key figures from McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, and Subaru.

How much more power, in horsepower, the McLaren Senna produces than the 720S. The new highest-performing road-legal McLaren will be limited to just 500 units and is promised to offer, "savage performance.”

How much extra legroom, in inches, is available in the front seats of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The off-roader’s interior has finally been shown, and with new technologies from the E- and S-Class, plus a much fresher design, it has us seriously excited for the new G-Class.

The additional horsepower offered by the Subaru WRX STI Type RA versus the regular model. Of course, the Type RA – limited to just 500 units and starting at $49,885 – also has various weight-loss modifications, gold BBS wheels, and a new rear wing.

The Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic minivans will be the first vehicles to use a new 1.3-liter direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine developed jointly by Renault and Daimler. The engine has better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions than the 1.2-liter engine  despite its larger displacement, Renault said. It has more torque over a wider power band. It is available in three power levels: 115 hp/220 nm torque; 130 hp/240 nm torque; and 160 hp/260 nm torque.
