Renault-IDRO Joint Venture to Start Next Year

Finally, after a year and a half, Bonro production site has been granted to the Renault-IDRO-Naseh Holding Group joint venture.
Khodrocar – Last year, Mansour Moazam, CEO of IDRO decided to ink a joint venture with Renault and surprised the two major carmakers of Iran. Before IDRO, Saipa group was up to sign a joint venture with Renault but it didn’t successes and now after IDRO’s joint venture, also this company must grant Bonro production site to them.

However, it took 10 months that the draft of this contract turned into an official contract because the former CEO of Saipa group did not want to grant Bonro to this new joint venture.

However, with the change in the management of Saipa group, the three sides of the joint venture were hopeful that the new CEO grant the Bonro. Ghasem Jahroudi, the new CEO of Saipa finally agreed to grant Bonro production site but he also took some bonuses from Renault, which ensures the future of Saipa.

One month ago, the CEO of Saipa announced the launch of a new 300 million IRRs car "Kwid” and named Renault as its partner in the production of the car.

Yesterday, an informed source told Khodrocar that Saipa group is going to grant Bonro and will start producing Kwid in this company. With this situation, there is the possibility of not producing "Pride” anymore.
