A couple months later, the ministry of industry, mine and trade forced the unofficial importers to take a license from official agencies. The ministry was aware of the problem which would happen by closing the gray market, but they shut down the registration website to the unofficial importers, 3 months ago. Now, the National Competition Council is going to interfere in the imported vehicle’s market because of exclusivity.
"According to the law, all the imported products must have after sales services. While unofficial importers couldn’t give after sales services, we offered them to buy the service from official representations. The ministry approved this offer at the time.” Told Shiva to Khodrocar reporter.
"The instruction worked very well and the market was competitive. Even though, the JCPOA has been signed but taking the representation’s permit is not easy and we don’t have official agents for any brands. Therefore, continuing the instruction was a better idea than deleting the gray market.” He said. "If the instruction has some holes in it, then the problems must be solved. Otherwise, deleting the gray market cause exclusivity then the National Competition Council have to interfere”
