Average Fuel Consumption in the second Half of the Year
Fuel consumption faced with a 7 percent rise in the first half of the year. Statistics show that the daily average of fuel consumption in the first six months was 84 to 90 million liter but the Chairman of the gas station owners' union said that the daily average of fuel consumption is between 72 to 77 million liter.
Khodrocar – "The daily average of fuel consumption is 72 to 77 million liter. This number contains the amount of Super Gasoline." Said Bijan Haj MohamadReza, Chairman of the gas station owners' union to Khodrocar reporter. "The number of gas stations has been increased, but the sale of gasoline is not good and sometimes gas stations won't meet their peak because of the expensive fuel price."
"Motorists are using the most volume of gasoline in the center of Tehran. Also, there are some problems in distributing the super gasoline, so just special stations can sell this kind of fuel." He continued. "Right now, CNG stations are working properly and we have about 240 stations in Tehran."
"Tehran is looking like a big parking because of the Iranian automakers excessive production." Haj MohamadReza answered to Khodrocar. "Since the Chinese and Korean vehicles meet Iran's street, Tehran confront with a great number of cars, but increasing the fuel price stopped the consumption rise. Some of our stations can't reach their 3 years ago sale.
"The daily average of fuel importing is about 20 to 30 million liters. These fuels are sending to refineries to reach euro 4 standards, then distributed to all of stations all over the country." He said.
According to Khodrocar report, the increasing of fuel consumption in the first six months of the year happened while the department of environment and municipalities are looking for a way to decrease the emissions.
