Iran’s Auto Industry Condition After Trump’s Speech
Friday’s night, Donald Trump, President of USA had an aggressive speech and told his opinion about Iran and JCPOA at last. He allowed the congress to review the agreement, but said they won’t quit the program for now, but what is his talk’s effects on future of Iran’s Auto industry?
Khodrocar – Since Trump’s name became bold in politics, all parts of JCPOA suspended till the election of US president. After the election some American investors with for the opinion of the new president about JCPOA, however, they had a little talk with Iranian companies.
At last, his opinion and side about JCPOA became clear, but he couldn’t accept the responsibility for quitting the agreement under the pressure from the European Union. However, his speech was aggressive and he asked for new sanctions.
The trump’s speech was like an inexperienced reviewer, but it could have an impact on foreign investors who want to work in Iran. Now, the future of Iran’s auto industry and the contracts with foreign companies after the US president’s speech is questionable.
"The reaction of other members of 5+1 showed that they don’t want to change the JCPOA because this agreement is firm and unchangeable. So we can say that Iran’s auto industry condition won’t change after President Trump’s speech.” Hasan Karimi Sanjari said to Khodrocar reporter.
"Iran’s auto industry couldn’t take advantage after JCPOA because of the banking issues. The features of major global banks are not available in Iran. Also, the main structure of Iran’s auto industry is governmental and it isn’t attractive for foreign investors.” He added.
As it seems, predictions before the JCPOA are opposite now and Iran’s auto industry just handled two contracts with Peaguet and Hyundai till now which are not ideal. All of the other foreign names are just contracts or negotiations. On the other hand, most of Iran’s partners in the auto industry are from Europe and the European Union will continue the JCPOA, so the Trump’s talks won’t affect it except from foreign exchange tensions.
