Volvo Car AB will sell its 33% stake in Aurobay to Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. as part of the Swedish company's move to become a fully electric company in the next eight years.
For Polestar, the last few years brought on a drastic change. With their turn to electricity, the company went from painting a target on the back of Mercedes-Benz AMG and BMW M to acquiring completely different high-level targets. With their path to electrification clearly laden, the company sees itself going toe-to-toe with Tesla and the increasingly EV-oriented Porsche.
The 2019 Volvo S60 has both beauty and brawn. Not only does the range-topping Polestar Engineered option comes with a hefty 415-horsepower (309 kilowatts) and 494 pound-feet (669 Newton-meters) of torque, but it also features a performance add-ons like new wheels, an upgraded suspension, bigger brakes… aaaaand it’s gone.
It was only yesterday when Volvo announced plans to put the next-generation XC90 into production at its new U.S. plant in 2021 and now the company has disclosed some preliminary details about the large SUV. In an interview with The Car Connection, Volvo’s Senior Vice President, Henrik Green, revealed the third generation of the premium SUV will be smart enough to offer level 4 autonomous driving technology to haul “sleeping passengers” from point A to point B on some roadways.
