4 months ago, during the Mashad auto show, ILIA automotive group unveiled a new 7-seater crossover that would be a serious competitor to the current vehicles in Iran’s market.
Khodrocar – VGV U75 Plus, is one of the most anticipated crossovers in Iran’s market and recently officials of ILIA automotive group have announced that they will start the pre-sale this year.
VGV is a Chinese automotive company established in 2012 and is one of the sub-brands of Sinotruck which we know for their famous truck HOWO. This commercial vehicle once was one of the popular trucks among Iranian drivers and now a crossover of this family is coming to the market.
U75 Plus is the most luxurious product of VGV and is going to be imported to the country by the ILIA automotive group. They have plans to change the importation from CBU to CKD & SKD in the future.
The outside design is from 2019 and we don’t see the recent feathers-like lights on the bumper however the new trend is not very popular among customers due to future problems. As a 7-seater crossover, it has a long design and has good legroom for the passengers of the 2nd and 3rd rows.
The interior design is completely different and having a digital cluster and digital display is a sign of a new and up-to-date design for the vehicle. Other interior features of this car include a keyless start, a panoramic roof, and good-quality leather material.
The difference between U75 Plus and other competitors is hidden under the bonnet. This car has a 2 litter GDI engine with 221Hp and 385 n/m torque which is accompanied by a 8 gear automatic gearbox. Most of the current crossovers in Iran’s market have 1.5 litter turbocharged engines with less horsepower.
ILIA Khodro had previously announced at the Mashhad exhibition that it is going to import 1000 units of this car into the Iranian market, and now according to the latest information, the pre-sale of this car will be done this year and the delivery date of the first U75 versions will be next year. It will be a plus.
