Dongfeng Nissan NX7 PHEV crossover revealed specs with 225 km of EV range

Khodrocar - The Dongfeng Nissan joint venture is rapidly developing its NEV model line as the Japanese automaker aims to keep up with the highly competitive Chinese market. It already launched three vehicles developed by the Chinese R&D center: the N7 sedan, the N6 sedan, and the NX8 crossover. It is worth noting that the Nissan N7 reached foreign markets under the Nissan Primera name. So, other vehicles in this line can potentially enter the global market.

The Nissan NX7 is the latest addition to the line. It is a smaller sibling of the mentioned NX8 electric SUV. The NX7 adopts the brand’s latest design language with split headlights, a closed front end, a large air intake, semi-hidden door handles, and a single taillight unit. The car’s dimensions are 4785/1932/1665 mm with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. For clarity, it sits between the X-Trail and the Murano.

The NX7 rides on two wheel options: 245/60 R18 and 235/55 R19. Its approach and departure angles are 18 and 24 degrees, respectively. The car’s curb weight lies between 1,915 and 2,000 kg, depending on the equipment. This newcomer offers a panoramic roof, a surround-view camera system, and an optional LiDAR sensor.

The powertrain of the Nissan NX7 adopts the NR15 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine for 73 kW (98 hp). It is paired with an electric motor with a peak power of 170 kW (228 hp). Its rated power is just 34 kW (46 hp). The NX7’s top speed reaches 180 km/h. However, its zero-to-hundred acceleration time remains undisclosed.

The Nissan NX7 adopts a 40.95 kWh LFP battery with cells supplied by the CATL-FAW joint venture. The same company supplies battery packs for the Voyah high-end brand under the Dongfeng umbrella. As mentioned, the NX7 can run up to 225 km on a single battery charge under CLTC conditions. The car consumes 4.82 liters of fuel per 100 km with a drained battery.

Previously, Nissan revealed official images of the NX7. The company has started the marketing campaign for this vehicle. However, its launch date has yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, the all-electric Nissan NX8 turned into a success by delivering 5,398 units in June 2026, according to China EV DataTracker.
